An improper maintenance of the system could void your warranty so the low cost of the warranty verses the cost for parts, labor, service and repair outside of the standard warranty will pay for itself in the long run and save you money!!!

You can get the capacitor on amazon for allot cheaper and you can very well go on youtube to learn how to install it yourself. By the time you get the part, learn how to install it and install it yourself it could be days. Plus there is no guarantee that it will work, plus you wouldn't have a warranty on it if you do not get a qualified HVAC Tech to install it for you. It the long run it will be allot more hassle and time and might even cost you more, so my honest suggestion is I would do it for you so you have no worries. But is totally up to you, there is no force on my part. As for the Ductwork I would suggest getting a free estimate from myself kind of a second opinion that I am willing to do for you. It doesn't sound to me Lysol will fix the problem, it might only make it worse. I hope this will help you sir!

This is because even equipment that is properly installed will most likely require new parts or repairs at some point. An extended warranty will save you money in the long run, such as in cases like this. The fact that this unit has already required a new component may be an indication of things to come, and I would hate to see you have to spend more money than you have to in the future.
